How the AirCoat 423 Sprayer Is Organized
The Titan AirCoat 423 Air-Assisted Airless Sprayer is a professional pneumatic finishing system engineered to combine airless material delivery with controlled assist air at the spray gun. Its 4-inch air motor drives a stainless-steel fluid section at a 23:1 pressure ratio, allowing the machine to convert regulated compressed-air pressure into stable fluid pressure for precision coating work.
The AirCoat 423 is rated for a maximum delivery of 0.50 gallons per minute, a maximum air input pressure of 116 PSI, and a maximum operating pressure of 2,320 PSI. Its air-assisted process combines the speed of airless application with a surrounding air envelope that refines atomization, improves pattern control, and supports a smooth, consistent finish with less spray mist than conventional high-pressure airless spraying alone.
The complete sprayer is organized around the Main Assembly, Motor/Pump Assembly, Upper Shroud Assembly, Air Motor Assembly, Fluid Pump Assembly, Automatic Filter-Lubricator-Regulator Assembly, High-Pressure Filter, High-Pressure Fluid Regulator, and Cart Assembly. These systems manage machine structure, compressed-air preparation, pneumatic drive, coating intake, pressure generation, filtration, fluid control, component protection, and mobility.
During operation, an external compressor supplies air to the filtration, lubrication, and regulation system before the air reaches the motor. The motor moves the fluid-pump piston through its intake and discharge strokes, drawing coating through the material supply and sending it under pressure through the high-pressure filter and fluid regulator. At the spray gun, separately regulated assist air fine-tunes atomization and spray-pattern development.
The AirCoat 423 is suited to fine-finish applications involving solvent- and water-based paints, primers, varnishes, polyurethanes, stains, lacquers, and compatible UV-curing materials. Its fluid section, pulsation-control components, air preparation, dual regulation, and filtration system work together to support consistent coating delivery in woodworking, cabinetry, furniture finishing, metal fabrication, millwork, and production coating environments.
Each AirCoat 423 assembly contains serviceable components that require inspection as operating hours accumulate. Packings, valve parts, seals, filters, regulator components, hoses, fittings, tubing, brackets, wheels, and mounting hardware can wear, loosen, clog, or leak.
