How the AirCoat 423 Fluid Regulator Stabilizes Spray Pressure
The AirCoat 423 high-pressure fluid regulator mounts downstream of the high-pressure filter and provides fine control of material pressure before coating reaches the spray hose and gun. Adjusting the regulator changes fluid delivery independently of atomizing-air adjustment, helping technicians balance flow, atomization, transfer efficiency, and finish quality.
Titan 0533526 pressure gauge displays regulated material pressure. Titan 0533527 cap, two Titan 0533528 screws, Titan 0533529 bar, and two Titan 0533530 sleeves form the upper clamping and guide structure around the regulator housing.
Titan 0533531 ball valve works against Titan 0533532 seat to meter coating through the regulator. Titan 0533618 gasket and two Titan 0533533 O-rings seal the internal fluid path inside Titan 0533534 regulator housing. Titan 0533535 fitting provides the external fluid connection.
The lower control stack includes Titan 0533536 bar, Titan 0533537 piston, Titan 0533538 retaining ring, Titan 0533539 washer, Titan 0533540 packing, Titan 0533541 cylinder, Titan 0533542 spring locator, Titan 0533543 spring, and Titan 0533544 adjustment knob.
Turning the adjustment knob changes spring load on the piston and ball-valve system. A clean, correctly lubricated piston and sealing stack allows smooth adjustment and stable pressure. Wear, dried coating, damaged O-rings, or a weakened spring can cause drift, leakage, restricted flow, or erratic response.
Titan calls for regular inspection and lubrication of the regulator. During service, clean the cylinder, housing, cap, washer, packing, bar-and-piston assembly, ball valve, and seat with a compatible solvent, then lubricate the O-rings with lithium grease before reassembly.
