FAQs

1. What types of coatings can I use with the Advantage 1100 pump?

You can use a variety of architectural coatings including latex paints, enamels, lacquers, stains, block fillers and elastomerics. The unit is built for moderate to heavy duty spraying tasks.

2. Can this pump handle two spray guns simultaneously?

Yes ,the Advantage 1100 has the capability for 2-gun operation (with suitably sized spray tips) which makes it suitable for larger jobs or for contractors who need to cover more area faster.

3. What kind of maintenance is required to keep this pump operating reliably?

Regular maintenance recommendations include:

  • Checking and cleaning the inlet suction filter and manifold filter.

  • Releasing system pressure properly before servicing or changing spray tips.

  • Ensuring hoses are undamaged, not kinked, and rated for the pressure the system generates.
  • Using materials compatible with aluminum fluid sections (avoiding halogenated solvents, bleach, etc).

4. What safety considerations should I be aware of when using the pump?

Some key safety points:

  • High pressure spray can cause serious injection injuries and never point the gun at anyone or yourself.
  • Use a properly grounded circuit for the motor and follow grounding instructions.
  • Ensure the spray area is well ventilated because solvent and paint vapors can be heavier than air and pose explosion/fire risks.
  • Use hoses, fittings ,fluid section and components rated for the pressure the pump can generate (3,100 psi)  improper components can fail catastrophically.

5. How portable is this unit, and how does it fit into a job-site workflow?

The Advantage 1100 is designed with contractor use in mind:

  • It comes in configurations like high-rider cart or skid frame to suit different job-site layouts.

  • It features hose wrap or cord wrap options for tidy storage and transport.

  • While reasonably portable, you still need to consider weight, hose length, setup/clean-up time when planning. Use the shortest hose and appropriate tip for the job to maximise efficiency.
