The first split is the air supply. The AirCoat 423 and 620 are air-powered and work with a compressor. The AirCoat AAA and the MultiFinish 440 are electric with an onboard compressor. The 620 delivers the most here at 1.25 GPM, the MultiFinish has the highest pressure at 3300 psi, and the AAA has the lowest delivery at 0.35 GPM.
The four systems
All four are air-assisted airless sprayers: a small amount of air is added to the fluid pressure, which allows a lower fluid pressure than plain airless. Titan says the lower pressure gives greater control of spray, and describes the result as fine atomization and smooth, bubble-free finishes. They differ in what drives the pump and where the air comes from.

Figures are Titan's, as reproduced on dealer pages. We leave out the air-pressure setting of the MultiFinish because the published figures do not agree. The AAA lists 35 psi of air.
Electric with compressor, or air-powered
This is the choice that decides the rest. The AirCoat 423 and 620 have an air motor that drives the pump, so they need a compressor on site; Titan lists their features as dual regulators, an air filter, an air lubricator, a fluid pressure gauge and two air pressure gauges. The AirCoat AAA and the MultiFinish 440 bring their own compressor and plug in, so a shop with no air line, or a crew that moves between sites, runs them without a separate compressor.
The reverse also holds: a shop that already has a compressor on site can power a 423 or 620 from it. We do not give a minimum compressor size, because we found no figure for these two from Titan. Check your manual, or call (713) 931-0006 before you buy one.
Pressure and delivery
Read the table by what you spray. The 620 has the highest delivery here at 1.25 GPM, but the lowest pressure, 2320 psi, and its ratio is 20:1. The 423 has a smaller 4 in. motor at 23:1 for 2670 psi and 0.50 GPM. The MultiFinish 440 has the highest pressure of the four at 3300 psi and 0.58 GPM, and the AAA sits at 0.35 GPM and 2800 psi, the lowest delivery.
Titan lists the AirCoat 423 and 620 for solvent and water-based paints, primers, varnishes, polyurethanes, stains and lacquers, slow-setting 2K materials and UV hardening paints, on cabinets, furniture, doors, trim and small metal finishing, in small to medium wood and metal finishing shops. For the AAA, Titan's wording is high production fine finishing, interior and exterior. We have no basis to say which fits a given coating better, so check the coating maker's data sheet.
What comes in the box
- AirCoat AAA complete (0508074A): a GM 3600 AA gun, a Brilliant 9/20 tip, a 1/4 in. by 50 ft bonded hose, and 5 ft fluid and air whips. The 0550039 is the bare unit, 120V.
- AirCoat 423 and 620 complete: a Titan 3600 AA gun with a flat tip, a 50 ft air hose and a fluid hose. They are offered as cart or spider mounts, bare or complete, so check the listing to see which one you are buying.
- MultiFinish 440: dealer pages list a GM 3600 AA gun with it.
Titan's gun is a replaceable part. The site lists the GM 3600 AirCoat gun with flat tip guard and a complete gun, 50 ft hose and flat tip kit. We do not explain what the AA in the gun name stands for.

The AirCoat 423 and 620 each have their own fluid pump page with different numbers, so use the page for your model. The parts hub is Spraytech AirCoat Sprayer Parts.
The 423 and 620 do share some parts, for example the 0533514 high-pressure filter element and the 0533517 bleed valve assembly. Their air filters do not: the 620 uses 0533569 and the 423 uses 0533557.
Choosing
- No compressor on site, and you move around: look at the electric pair, the AAA or the MultiFinish.
- You already run a compressor and want the most delivery of the four: the 620, at 1.25 GPM.
- Lower delivery on an air supply: the 423, at 0.50 GPM and a higher pressure than the 620.
- You want the highest pressure of the four on electric power: the MultiFinish 440, at 3300 psi.
