Assembly Overview

How the PowrCoat 940 Gun Manifold Distributes Coating

This page is an exploded optional gun-manifold replacement-parts category. Titan identifies 975-212, 975-213 and 975-214 as 1/4-inch two-, three- and four-gun assemblies, and 975-312, 975-313 and 975-314 as the corresponding 3/8-inch assemblies.

Pressurized coating enters manifold block 970-100 and is divided across branch ports. Each branch uses a nipple, ball valve and outlet fitting so individual gun lines can be connected, isolated and serviced. Pipe plug 227-033 closes an unused port.

Main Functions

Functions Supported by the Gun Manifold Assemblies

  • Splits one pressurized coating supply across multiple gun lines.
  • Provides individual shutoff control at each branch.
  • Supports two-, three- and four-gun spray configurations.
  • Seals unused outlets with a dedicated pipe plug.
  • Allows modular gun-line expansion with verified add-on parts.
Service Applications

When Contractors Use This Manifold Diagram

  • Adding or removing gun lines from an existing manifold.
  • Repairing leakage at a branch valve or outlet fitting.
  • Restoring shutoff control on one gun circuit.
  • Correcting damaged, corroded or cross-threaded ports.
  • Converting a manifold layout after verifying every connection size.
Troubleshooting

Multi-Gun Manifold Symptoms and Diagnostic Priorities

Relieve pressure in every branch before service. Diagnose the branch valve, outlet fitting, nipple, pipe plug, manifold port and connected hose before replacing parts.

Operating symptom Inspection points Recommended action
One gun receives less material branch valve position, outlet fitting, hose restriction, tip demand and manifold passage Compare branches and isolate hose or valve restriction before replacing manifold parts.
A branch will not shut off 940-553 or 941-555 valve operation, contamination, nipple alignment and manifold-port condition Confirm full valve travel and inspect sealing surfaces before replacement.
Leak at the gun-line outlet 227-006 or 808-555 fitting, hose coupling, threads, sealing method and alignment Identify the exact leaking interface and inspect both sides before replacing the fitting.
Leak at an unused port 227-033 pipe plug, receiving threads, thread seal and manifold-block damage Inspect plug and block threads before resealing or replacement.
Pressure falls when more guns open pump output, total tip demand, supply pressure, manifold restrictions and hose sizes Verify system capacity and total demand before replacing manifold components.
New fitting still leaks manifold-block port threads, cross-threading, incorrect size, alignment and valve-nipple stack Diagnose the complete branch connection because a new fitting cannot repair a damaged block port.

Buying Guide

How to Select the Correct Gun Manifold Component

STEP 1

Confirm manifold size

Identify whether the installed assembly is 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch.

STEP 2

Confirm gun count

Match two-, three- or four-gun assembly architecture.

STEP 3

Identify the branch fault

Separate valve, nipple, outlet fitting, plug and block-port issues.

STEP 4

Inspect mating threads

A replacement fitting cannot correct a damaged manifold port.

Maintenance

Maintain Secure Multi-Gun Fluid Distribution

  • Flush every active branch before coating hardens.
  • Operate each ball valve to confirm full travel.
  • Inspect branch fittings and unused-port plugs for leakage.
  • Use backup wrenches so connected parts do not twist.
  • Check hoses and tips when branches show unequal output.
  • Relieve pressure in every gun line before service.
Repair Planning

Plan a Complete PowrCoat 940 Manifold Repair

Record manifold size, gun count, branch position and exact leak or flow symptom before disassembly. This prevents mixing 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch parts and helps isolate a single branch from system-capacity problems.

Inspect every involved nipple, valve, outlet fitting, pipe plug and manifold-block port together. When adding a gun line, confirm pump capacity, hose size, tip demand and the correct add-on configuration before ordering.

FAQ Section

PowrCoat 940 Gun Manifold Assembly FAQs

Verified answers covering manifold types, gun counts, connection sizes, flow control, branch leakage, expansion and safe service.

What type of page is the PowrCoat 940 gun-manifold page?+
It is an exploded optional multi-gun manifold replacement-parts category covering two-, three- and four-gun distribution assemblies.
Which complete manifold assemblies are documented?+
Titan lists 975-212, 975-213 and 975-214 for 1/4-inch two-, three- and four-gun systems, and 975-312, 975-313 and 975-314 for 3/8-inch versions.
What is the difference between the 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch manifold groups?+
The 1/4-inch group uses 814-002 nipples, 940-553 ball valves and 227-006 outlets. The 3/8-inch group uses 814-004 nipples, 941-555 ball valves and 808-555 outlets.
What does the 970-100 manifold block do?+
It distributes pressurized coating from one inlet across multiple branch ports for separate gun lines.
Why are individual ball valves used?+
Each branch valve allows a connected gun line to be isolated without shutting down every manifold outlet.
What does the 227-033 pipe plug do?+
It seals an unused manifold port so the block maintains pressure and does not leak coating.
What causes unequal flow between guns?+
Inspect branch-valve position, outlet fittings, hose restrictions, tip selection and pressure demand before replacing manifold parts.
What causes leakage at a manifold branch?+
Inspect the applicable nipple, ball valve, outlet fitting, manifold-block threads and thread sealing before replacement.
Why should the manifold block be inspected before replacing fittings?+
Damaged or cross-threaded ports in the block can prevent a new fitting or valve from sealing.
Can a gun line be added later?+
Titan documents one-gun add-on components for both 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch configurations; confirm the installed manifold size before planning expansion.
What should be checked before converting manifold size?+
Confirm hose size, gun-line fittings, valve type, manifold nipples and every downstream connection before moving between 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch configurations.
What safety procedure is required before manifold service?+
Lock all guns, shut off and bleed the air supply, open the pressure-bleed valve, trigger into grounded metal containers and verify zero pressure in every branch.
