The MultiFinish 440 is rated at 3300 psi with a 0.023 in. maximum tip, a 7/8 HP motor and a weight of 90 lbs. The AirCoat and ED655 Plus are each rated at 2800 psi with a 0.017 in. tip and a 1/2 HP motor. The AirCoat and MultiFinish have onboard compressors. The ED655 Plus is plain airless.
The three systems in one table
These three electric fine finish systems sit close together in Titan's range, but two add air to the spray and one does not. The table uses only figures that dealers and Titan's own copy agree on. Where a figure is marked not confirmed, we could not verify it and would rather leave it out than guess.

ED655 Plus: the small airless finisher
The ED655 Plus has no compressor, so atomization comes from fluid pressure and the tip alone. Titan describes it as a compact, lightweight, dedicated finishing system. At 27 lbs it is far lighter than the MultiFinish 440. It ships with an RX-80 gun, an SC-6+ Synergy 412 fine finish tip, a 1/4 in. x 50 ft hose and a 3/16 in. x 3 ft whip.
AirCoat: air-assisted with an airless mode
The AirCoat adds a quiet onboard compressor and runs in air-assisted or airless mode. Dealer copy of Titan's description lists an air pressure of 35 psi, a sealed hydraulic pump that sprays delicate coatings without shearing them, and zero deadband trigger response. The gun is a GM 3600 air-assisted gun with a Brilliant 9/20 tip, and the kit has a 1/4 in. x 50 ft bonded hose with 5 ft whips. Titan describes air-assisted airless as using fluid pressure plus a small amount of air for fine atomization and high transfer efficiency.
We could not confirm a weight for the AirCoat, so it is not in the table. Parts and manuals remain available for it; the gap in the table says nothing about the machine's status.
MultiFinish 440: the higher-pressure system
The MultiFinish 440 is built on Titan's 440 airless platform, and of the three it has the highest pressure rating and the largest maximum tip. It draws from 1 gallon or 5 gallon pails. Titan names Quad+ Packings, the AutoOiler and Rapid Clean among its features. Its manual describes a low-pressure MultiFinish mode, recommended up to 1000 psi, alongside airless mode at 500 to 3300 psi. The MultiFinish 440 spray system page leads to its five parts diagrams.
What the numbers mean for the job
The tip is the most useful number. Orifice size controls how much material the tip delivers, and thicker coatings generally need larger orifices. The MultiFinish 440's 0.023 in. ceiling is bigger than the 0.017 in. ceiling on the other two, so it can pass more material. The AirCoat and ED655 Plus are the machines for finishing work that stays on small tips.
The pressure rating also sets a rule for replacements. Titan's MultiFinish manual requires every replacement tip, guard, gun, extension, fitting and hose to be rated at least 3300 psi. A GM 3600 gun is rated for more than the MultiFinish, but the lowest rating in the system governs, so do not treat the gun's number as the machine's number.
Weekly ratings give a sense of the class: 20 to 50 gallons for the ED655 Plus and AirCoat, and 50 to 75 for the MultiFinish 440, the latter from one dealer. They are guides for choosing, not a service schedule.
