Titan's gas airless range runs from the Elite 3500 (Honda GX120, 0.75 gpm) up through the Elite 5500 and PowrTwin Plus models to the Hydra X, which uses a Honda GX390. The PowrTwin 12000 Plus is the largest PowrTwin, at 3.15 gpm and up to 6 guns. The Hydra X 4540 reaches 4.0 gpm.
What Titan's gas range covers
Titan's gas airless page covers four families: Elite, PowrTwin (gas), PowrBeast and Hydra X. Its filters list the power sources as Gas Engine and Convertible. A gas sprayer suits sites without power and gives you portability, and the engines are Honda throughout this line-up. Run and fuel any gas engine only outdoors or in a ventilated area, away from ignition sources.
Gas does not automatically mean more output. The Elite 3500 gas model and its 72V battery version are both listed at 0.75 gpm, so choose by the output and gun count in the table, not by the fuel. This page is the line-up. Engine and fluid section parts are covered in our gas sprayer parts guide.
Elite 3500 and Elite 5500
The Elite gas models use Titan's sealed hydraulic PermaStroke drive, which Titan describes as having no piston, packings, cylinder or clutch to wear or burn out. The Elite 3500 has a Honda GX120 engine, delivers 0.75 gpm at 3300 psi and takes tips up to 0.027 in. The Elite 5500 has a Honda GX160, delivers 1.25 gpm at 3300 psi and can spray with up to 2 guns. Both pages describe a Honda engine with a low-oil alert.
The site lists the Elite 3500 as the 0537012A Elite 3500 HighRider and the Elite 5500 as the 2468739 Elite 5500 High Rider. Their parts are on the Elite Gas Sprayer Parts page.
PowrTwin 4900, 6900, 8900 and 12000 Plus
The PowrTwin Plus gas models are hydraulic-driven and slow-stroking. Titan's gas page lists six PowrTwin gas models, from 1.50 gpm to 3.15 gpm, from siphon-fed to direct immersion. The four main ones step up in engine, flow and gun count: the 4900 and 6900 use a Honda GX160, the 8900 a GX200 and the 12000 a GX270. All four are rated 3300 psi, apart from the 12000 Plus, which is rated 3600 psi.
The 6900 Plus DI and 12000 Plus DI are the direct immersion versions, aimed at very heavy coatings with a submersed foot valve. The parts for the whole family are on the PowrTwin Gas Sprayer Parts page. Titan also says the electric PowrTwin models can be converted to a gas powered system. For a conversion, call us with your model to confirm what a conversion needs.
Hydra X 4540 and 7230
The Hydra X is the top of the range. Both models use a Honda GX390 with electric start and a low-oil alert. The 4540 is rated 4500 psi and 4.0 gpm, with a 0.067 in. maximum tip on one gun and up to 6 guns. The 7230 is rated 7250 psi and runs up to 5 guns, and delivers less than the 4540. Titan lists roofing, waterproofing and other protective coatings for both. The site's Hydra Series page sorts the diagrams, and the unit is listed as the 02412275 Hydra X 4540.
