This assembly consists of a rigid or semi-rigid tube that extends into the paint container, drawing fluid upward through suction created by the pump, combined with an integrated strainer that filters out debris, dried paint particles, and other contaminants before they can enter the fluid section. The strainer element is a critical protective feature, as even small particles can cause wear to pump packings, score the piston and cylinder walls, or clog the spray tip, leading to pressure fluctuations and inconsistent spray patterns.
