The weekly figure is a recommendation for the sprayer's duty, not a cap on a single job. The 35 psi air pressure figure is as listed by two sources; check your manual for what it applies to.
What is in the kit
Dealer listings that reproduce Titan's text agree on the contents. The ED655 Plus ships with an RX-80 spray gun, an SC-6+ Synergy 412 fine finish tip, a 1/4 in. by 50 ft fluid hose and a 3/16 in. by 3 ft whip hose. The sprayer itself has an Easy-Flow prime valve, an outlet pusher valve, a carry handle and a stand mount.
The tip that ships is a fine finish tip, and that tells you what Titan has in mind. A smaller orifice delivers less material and suits thinner finishes, and in general a worn tip loses pressure and gives a coarse pattern, so it is worth keeping a spare. What it is for
Titan's listing points the ED655 Plus at fine finishing in cabinet shops and on doors and trim: lacquer, water-borne enamel and clear coat. It lists heavy-duty parts and seals for hotter materials such as lacquer. The manual also lists oil-based and latex paints, primers and stains, so it is not limited to clear finishes.
Whether a particular coating will spray well on this machine is a question for the coating maker's data sheet and Titan's manual, not for this page. The 0.017 in. maximum tip caps how much material the sprayer can deliver, so match the job to that figure.
How a diaphragm pump differs from a piston pump
Most professional airless sprayers use a piston pump. The ED655 Plus does not. Its manual describes a pump head with a diaphragm, a diaphragm ring and inlet and outlet valves. A hydraulic piston and housing drive the diaphragm, and the site's diagram for that part shows the diaphragm assembly, ring, hydraulic piston and housing.
In practice that means two things. First, advice about piston rod packings, wet cups and packing oil for Epic or Advantage sprayers does not apply to this one. Second, the manual sends diaphragm problems to a Titan authorized service center.
