FlexSpray Handheld is a versatile, professional-grade paint sprayer designed by Titan. It combines the power of an airless sprayer with the control and finesse of an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) system. This “multi-tool” spray gun allows painting professionals (or serious DIYers) to handle a wide range of coatings from heavy-bodied latex, enamel, and acrylic paints to thinner stains, lacquers, and urethanes, all with one handheld unit.
It’s built for both small-scale jobs (like furniture or cabinets) and larger interior or exterior painting work, offering flexibility and professional-level finish quality.

 Key Features

  • Airless power + HVLP control: The turbine motor delivers atomization power comparable to a 4-stage HVLP sprayer while giving output similar to an airless sprayer using a 413 tip. This dual nature lets you spray heavy coatings or fine finishes with the same tool.

  • Quick-Change Front Ends: With a twist, you can swap between the “FlexFinish” front end (for heavy-bodied coatings like latex, enamel, acrylic) and the “FineFinish” front end (for stains, lacquers, urethanes), offering flexibility depending on the type of job.

  • Adjustable Spray Control: You can adjust fan pattern (vertical, horizontal, round), pattern width (narrow to wide), material flow, and air flow, giving precise control over spray volume and finish quality.

  • Durability & Long Life: The unit is designed for professional use and reportedly offers up to 10× the lifespan of typical handheld airless sprayers.

  • Lightweight and Portable: Because it’s a handheld electric sprayer (with a turbine inside), it’s more portable and easier to maneuver than bulky airless carts, making it suitable for residential jobs or anywhere portability matters.

 Applications

You can use FlexSpray Handheld for:

  • Interior painting walls, ceilings, doors, trims.

  • Exterior painting, siding, fences, gates, and outdoor furniture (depending on paint/coating).

  • Fine finishing furniture, cabinets, woodwork, cabinetry, doors, especially when using stains, lacquers, or urethanes.

  • Multi-coat or multi-type jobs where you might need to switch between heavy paint and fine finish coatings.

  • Projects requiring portability small houses, apartments, field jobs, and maintenance work, where carrying heavy airless sprayers is impractical.

 FAQs

1. What kinds of coatings can I use with FlexSpray Handheld?

You can use water-based or solvent-based coatings, including heavy-bodied paints (latex, enamel, acrylic) with the FlexFinish front end, or thinner materials (stains, lacquers, urethanes) with the FineFinish front end. However, avoid highly abrasive, acidic, or caustic coatings, and coatings with flashpoints below approximately 100 °F (38 °C).

2. Do I need to thin the paint before spraying?

For many heavy-bodied coatings (latex, enamel, acrylic), thinning is often not required when using the FlexFinish front end thanks to the turbine’s atomization power.

 3. Can I spray different coatings without cleaning between them?

Yes, the Quick-Change System allows you to switch front ends quickly (e.g., from FlexFinish to FineFinish) to change coatings or applications. Each front end is a sealed system, which means you can swap without immediate cleaning in some situations (e.g., color change or different coating).
However, for the best results and to avoid clogging or cross-contamination, cleaning between very different coatings is strongly recommended.

4. How do I maintain the sprayer for a long life?

Regularly check and replace the air filter to keep the airflow clean. Clean the nozzle, fluid nozzle, and suction tube after each job, especially if you used solvent-based or fast-drying coatings. Dried paint inside the nozzles or hoses can block flow or damage seals. Avoid leaving paint inside the sprayer if you’ll leave it unused for a long time, the material should be drained and cleaned. Some sprayer parts are plastic or seal-based, which can harden or get damaged if paint cures inside.

For even better maintenance and performance, consider using FlexSprayer accessories, which help ensure smoother operation, easier cleaning, and more precise material control across various coatings

5. Is the FlexSpray Handheld suitable for professional/commercial use, or just DIY?

Yes, it’s designed for professional use. Many contractors use it for small- to medium-scale jobs, touch-ups, or jobs where portability and flexibility matter. It’s especially useful when jobs require switching between different coatings or detailed finishing work.

For best performance in detail work, many professionals pair it with the Titan 0529245 Flex Finish Needle Kit (White), which helps deliver smoother, more controlled spray patterns.
