Valve Housing for PowrTwin, PowrLiner & PowrBeast Sprayers

The Titan 944-009 Valve Housing is a genuine OEM replacement housing that contains the inlet and outlet valve assemblies on compatible PowrTwin, PowrLiner, and PowrBeast sprayers. This housing provides the precision‑machined bores and sealing surfaces necessary for proper valve operation and pressure holding.

Over time, valve housings can develop cracks, corrosion, or wear in the sealing areas, leading to pressure loss, poor priming, or external leaks. Replacing a damaged valve housing restores proper valve alignment and ensures reliable pump performance.

Service Guidance: When replacing the valve housing, always install new inlet and outlet valve kits (springs, balls/poppets, seats, and seals). Inspect the piston and packings for wear, as they often degrade at the same time.

What it does and when to replace it

What the valve housing does
Valve containment Houses the inlet and outlet valve components (ball, spring, seat)
Fluid sealing Provides sealing surfaces for valves to prevent backflow
Flow direction Channels paint from inlet to piston and outlet to hose
When replacement is recommended
Cracks or fractures Visible cracks in the housing body, especially near ports
Corrosion / pitting Rust or chemical damage on sealing surfaces
Worn valve bores Oval or scored bores prevent valves from seating properly
External leaks Paint seeps from housing seams or around fittings

Related parts commonly serviced together

When replacing the valve housing, inspect and replace these related components.

Inlet valve kit

Includes spring, ball, seat, and seals. Replace with housing for proper sealing.

Outlet valve kit

Same as inlet kit – both should be replaced when the housing is changed.

Piston packings / seals

Worn packings can cause pressure loss that mimics valve housing failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

The valve housing is the bare housing only. It does not include valves, springs, balls, or seals. Those components must be ordered separately as inlet and outlet valve kits.

Signs include: external paint leaks from the housing, inability to build or hold pressure even after replacing valve kits, visible cracks or corrosion, or the pump cycles continuously without reaching cutoff pressure.

It is strongly recommended to install new inlet and outlet valve kits whenever the housing is replaced. Old valves may not seat correctly in a new housing, leading to continued pressure loss or premature wear.

This housing is confirmed for PowrLiner 8900 XLT SP. Earlier 8900 or non‑SP versions may use a different housing. Always consult your machine's parts diagram or contact Titan support before ordering.
