Titan 891-403 O-Ring, PTFE

Titan 891-403 O-Ring, PTFE

Sourced From:
Titan Tools Inc.

Titan part 891-403 is a PTFE O‑ring designed for high‑pressure fluid sealing applications on compatible Hydra M 2000, Hydra M 4000, Hydra Pro Super, Commander, and Admiral sprayers. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) provides excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and a wide temperature range, making it ideal for sealing aggressive coatings and solvents. Replacing a worn, cut, or flattened O‑ring restores leak‑free operation and prevents fluid bypass or pressure loss in the pump or valve assembly.

PTFE O‑Ring for Hydra, Commander, and Admiral Sprayers

The Titan 891-403 PTFE O‑ring is a precision‑molded sealing component used in fluid sections, valve assemblies, and pump heads on Titan Hydra M, Hydra Pro Super, Commander, and Admiral sprayers. PTFE material offers exceptional chemical compatibility with virtually all paints, coatings, solvents, and corrosion inhibitors, plus low friction that reduces wear on mating surfaces.

O‑rings naturally compress and take a set over time. Exposure to pressure cycles, temperature changes, and aggressive fluids can cause PTFE O‑rings to flatten, crack, or extrude. A damaged O‑ring leads to external leaks, internal bypass, pressure drop, or erratic spray gun operation. Replacing with genuine Titan 891-403 restores the original seal geometry, ensuring leak‑free performance and consistent fluid delivery.

Service Guidance: If you notice fluid weeping from the pump head, valve cover, or around the piston rod, inspect the PTFE O‑ring. Replace it whenever the seal is disturbed during pump rebuild or valve maintenance.

What it does and when to replace it

What the PTFE O‑ring does
Static sealing Prevents fluid leaks at joints and covers
Dynamic sealing Seals around reciprocating pistons or rods
Chemical resistance Withstands solvents, acids, and aggressive coatings
When replacement is recommended
Visible flattening O‑ring no longer has round cross section
Cracks or nicks Surface damage from installation or debris
Hardening PTFE becomes brittle, loses flexibility
Leakage Fluid escaping from the sealed joint
During rebuild Always replace O‑rings when disassembling the fluid section

Compatibility

Titan part 891-403 is compatible with the following sprayer models. Always confirm fitment using the correct parts diagram for your exact machine and serial number.

Model / Series Component
Hydra M 2000, Hydra M 4000 O‑Ring, PTFE
Hydra Pro Super O‑Ring, PTFE
Commander 741‑440, 761‑301, 761‑411, 741‑331 O‑Ring, PTFE
Admiral 830‑331, 860‑451, 830‑451, 941‑441 O‑Ring, PTFE

Related parts commonly serviced together

When replacing a PTFE O‑ring, inspect or replace these associated components to ensure a complete seal repair.

Back‑up ring

Some applications use a PTFE back‑up ring with the O‑ring; inspect for distortion and replace as a set.

Piston / cylinder assembly

Check for scoring or wear that may have damaged the O‑ring; rebuild if necessary.

Valve seat / ball

If the O‑ring seals a valve cover, inspect the seat surface for pitting or debris.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) O‑ring used for fluid sealing in Hydra M, Hydra Pro Super, Commander, and Admiral sprayers.

Signs include visible flattening, cracks, nicks, hardening, or fluid leakage from the sealed joint. Replace whenever the fluid section is disassembled.

Hydra M 2000, Hydra M 4000, Hydra Pro Super; Commander (741‑440, 761‑301, 761‑411, 741‑331); Admiral (830‑331, 860‑451, 830‑451, 941‑441).

Not recommended. Rubber O‑rings may swell or degrade when exposed to solvents and coatings that PTFE resists. Use genuine Titan 891-403 for chemical compatibility and reliable sealing.
