The 805-343A drip cup is a simple but important component designed to collect and contain any fluid that may leak from the pump packing or seal area in compatible sprayer systems. It is specifically compatible with Impact 440 service; impact 640 I and IA; impact 640; and RentSpray 600 Impact models. In a piston pump, a small amount of fluid often seeps past the piston packing to lubricate the rod. This leakage is normal and is intended to be captured by the drip cup. The cup is typically mounted just below the packing nut and catches these drips, preventing them from running down the pump rod, onto other components, or onto the floor. This keeps the work area cleaner and protects other parts from constant fluid exposure.
