Complete Cart Assembly for Impact 1140, 1040, and 1140I/IA Sprayers

The Titan part 805-290A Cart Assembly is a complete mobility solution designed specifically for Impact 1140, 1040, and 1140I/IA sprayers. This assembly provides the structural framework, wheel mounting points, and sprayer attachment system that transforms the unit into a portable system suitable for job site movement.

A damaged or compromised cart can lead to unstable operation, difficulty moving the sprayer, or even tip-over hazards. Replacing the entire cart assembly ensures all structural components, wheel axles, and mounting hardware are properly aligned and secured for safe, reliable transportation.

Service Guidance: If the sprayer cart shows significant rust, bent frame members, cracked welds, or wheel alignment issues, replacing the complete assembly is often more effective than attempting to repair individual components.

What it does and when to replace it

What the cart assembly does

Mobility support	Provides wheel mounting and structural framework for easy sprayer movement
Unit stability	Maintains proper balance and prevents tip-overs during operation or transport
Component mounting	Serves as the attachment point for the sprayer unit, pump, and fluid lines
Ground clearance	Elevates critical components above ground surfaces for protection

When replacement is recommended

Frame damage	Bent, cracked, or severely rusted structural members
Wheel issues	Multiple wheel mounts damaged or misaligned beyond repair
Instability	Cart wobbles, leans, or doesn't support sprayer securely
Welding failure	Cracked or broken welds that compromise structural integrity

Compatibility

Titan part 805-290A is designed specifically for the following Impact sprayer models. This complete assembly includes all necessary structural components and hardware for a full cart replacement.

Model	Component
Impact 1140	Complete Cart Assembly
Impact 1040	Complete Cart Assembly
Impact 1140I	Complete Cart Assembly
Impact 1140IA	Complete Cart Assembly

Related parts commonly serviced together

When replacing a cart assembly, these related mobility components are often inspected or replaced at the same time to ensure complete functionality.

Wheels & tires

Worn, cracked, or deflated tires should be replaced when installing a new cart assembly.

Wheel bearings & axles

Damaged bearings or bent axles can affect rolling resistance and wheel alignment.

Sprayer mounting hardware

Bolts, brackets, and isolation mounts that secure the sprayer to the cart frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

The complete assembly includes the main cart frame with all mounting brackets, axle assemblies, wheel mounting hardware, sprayer attachment brackets, handle mounting points, ground clearance components, and all necessary bolts and fasteners. Wheels and tires are typically sold separately unless specified otherwise in the product description.

The Impact 1140, 1040, 1140I, and 1140IA models share the same basic cart design and mounting points. The "I" designation typically indicates international voltage models, while "IA" may indicate additional features or configurations. Despite these electrical and feature differences, the physical cart assembly remains compatible across all these variants, ensuring proper fit and function for the entire series.

Minor repairs like replacing individual wheels or tightening loose hardware can extend cart life. However, complete assembly replacement is recommended when there's structural damage (bent or cracked frame members), severe rust compromising integrity, multiple damaged components, welding failures, or persistent instability. Replacing the complete assembly ensures proper alignment, structural integrity, and often proves more cost-effective than repairing multiple individual components separately.

Basic hand tools are typically sufficient: wrenches or sockets for bolt tightening (usually standard sizes), a rubber mallet for component alignment, and possibly a torque wrench for critical fasteners. No specialized welding or cutting tools are required. While many users with mechanical aptitude can install it themselves, professional installation is recommended if you're uncomfortable with mechanical assembly or if the sprayer unit is heavy and requires proper lifting equipment for safe handling during the transfer.
