The 762-103 lower seal is a precision sealing component installed in the lower portion of the pump assembly in compatible sprayer systems. It is specifically designed for use with 740 i Airless Sprayer; 740 IX; 740 ix Airless Sprayer; 1100 XC Airless Sprayer; Advantage 600; Advantage GPX 85; Elite G40; PowrLiner 2850 GB_D_F; PowrLiner 1800M, 2800M; and SprayTech GPX 85 models. This seal fits around the piston rod near the bottom of the pump cylinder, creating a fluid-tight barrier that prevents coating material from leaking out of the lower end of the pump. It also helps exclude contaminants from entering the pump chamber. The seal is typically made from a wear-resistant material such as polyurethane or PTFE, formulated to withstand the abrasive and chemical nature of paints and solvents. Over time, lower seals can wear, harden, or become damaged due to friction, chemical attack, or contamination. A worn seal will allow fluid to leak past, resulting in visible drips, loss of pressure, and a mess around the pump area.
