Engine Plate for PowrTwin, PowrTex & PowrLiner Sprayers

The Titan 449-219 Engine Plate is a genuine OEM replacement mounting plate used to secure the engine or motor to the frame on compatible PowrTwin, PowrTex, and PowrLiner sprayers. This rigid plate ensures proper alignment of the drive system and absorbs operational vibrations.

Over time, engine plates can become bent from impact, cracked due to metal fatigue, or corroded from chemical exposure. A damaged engine plate can cause belt misalignment, premature belt wear, excessive vibration, or noise. Replacing a worn or bent plate restores proper drive alignment and extends component life.

Service Guidance: When replacing the engine plate, inspect the engine mounting bolts, rubber isolators (if any), and the drive belt alignment. Torque all fasteners to factory specifications. Check the opposite pulley alignment after installation.

What it does and when to replace it

What the engine plate does
Engine mounting Provides a rigid base for attaching the engine to the frame
Belt alignment Ensures proper positioning of drive pulleys for belt tracking
Vibration damping Reduces flex and maintains stability during operation
When replacement is recommended
Bent or warped Plate no longer flat, causes pulley misalignment
Cracked Visible fractures near mounting holes or stress points
Corrosion Severe rust or chemical damage weakening the plate
Belt wear issues Premature belt edge wear or noise traced to misalignment

Related parts commonly serviced together

When replacing the engine plate, inspect these related components for wear or damage.

Engine mounting bolts

Check for stripped threads or corrosion. Replace if necessary.

Rubber isolators / mounts

If equipped, inspect for cracking or hardening. Replace as a set.

Drive belt and pulleys

Misalignment caused by a bent plate may have damaged the belt or pulleys.

Frequently Asked Questions

The engine plate provides a rigid mounting surface for the engine or motor. It maintains proper alignment between the engine and pump pulleys, ensuring correct belt tracking and reducing vibration.

Signs include: visible bending or cracking of the plate, persistent belt misalignment after adjusting, unusual belt wear (frayed edges), excessive vibration, or noise coming from the drive area.

Straightening is not recommended. Metal fatigue and micro-cracks can remain, leading to future failure under load. Titan recommends replacing a bent or damaged plate with a new OEM 449-219 to ensure proper strength and alignment.

The compatibility list includes PowrLiner 6900XLT and 6900XLT SP. Earlier 6900 (non‑XLT) or standard models may use a different engine plate. Always consult your machine's parts diagram or contact Titan support to verify fitment.
