Titan 143-120 is an OEM 1/2-inch connecting pin that serves a critical role in the fluid pump assembly of professional Titan sprayers. This pin connects the displacement rod to the hydraulic piston rod, transmitting the reciprocating motion that drives the pump and pressurizes coating material. Official Titan service manuals specify the connecting pin as the component that must be removed to separate the displacement rod from the hydraulic piston rod during fluid section service, and reinserted to reassemble the pump linkage. The 143-120 replaces the older 143-118 pin and is secured in place by the 143-019 retaining ring. Over time, connecting pins can become worn, bent, or damaged from the high reciprocating forces and vibration of pump operation. A compromised pin can allow the rods to separate, causing loss of pump drive, unusual noise, or complete sprayer failure. When servicing the 143-120 Connecting Pin, slide the retaining ring (143-019) up with a small screwdriver to access the pin. Push out the connecting pin to separate the displacement rod from the hydraulic piston rod.
