The PowrBeast 4700 comes as a 120V electric and as a gas model, the 7700 as a gas model and a 230V electric, and the 9700 is listed gas only. Gas models use Honda engines and give portability. Electric models need a suitable supply, and the listed delivery is lower: 1.1 gpm on the 4700 electric and 1.6 gpm on the 7700 230V.
Which models come in which power type
Titan's fluid section page for the series describes the 4700 as available gas or electric. The 7700 is listed as a gas sprayer and, separately, as a 230V electric. The 9700 appears only as a gas model. The 4700T, which Titan's dealers sell for textures and mastics, is described in different ways by different sources, so confirm its power type on your own unit before you order parts for it.

Gas models: Honda engines
The gas PowrBeasts use Honda engines: GX160 on the 4700, GX200 on the 7700 and GX270 on the 9700. Titan's series page adds a low-oil alert system on the gas models. The reason to buy gas is portability. It runs where there is no power outlet to plug into.
Gas engines come with rules. Run and refuel them only outdoors or in a ventilated area, and keep fuel away from ignition sources. Engine oil, spark plug and similar servicing details are in the manual for your serial number and the engine maker's instructions; we do not give them here.
Electric models: motors and supply
The 4700 electric is a 120V unit with a 2.0 hp electric motor. The 7700 230V uses a 4.1 HP TEFC DC motor. Electric sprayers need a suitable power supply and extension cord. Check your manual for the supply requirements of your model, because we do not list electrical requirements here.
The tradeoff is delivery. At 1.1 gpm, the electric 4700 tops out at a 0.033 in. tip with one gun, against 0.041 in. for the gas 4700. The 7700 230V reaches 0.043 in., slightly below the gas 7700's 0.047 in. With more guns the gaps hold: at two guns the 4700 electric is listed at 0.023 in. and the gas 4700 at 0.029 in.; at two guns the 7700 230V is 0.031 in. and the 7700 gas is 0.033 in.
Same hydraulic side, different power end
The part that makes a PowrBeast a PowrBeast is the same whichever way it is powered. The hydraulic system, hydraulic motor, solenoid and filter diagrams are shared, so parts such as the 451-220 hydraulic filter and the 0537207A solenoid assembly appear on the hydraulic system page for the model. Open the 4700 hydraulic system page and the 7700 and 9700 pages carry the same kind of parts.
Only the power end changes. So when you look for a hydraulic-side part, you do not need to know whether your sprayer is gas or electric, only which model it is.

Can a gas PowrBeast be converted to electric?
Nothing we have from Titan says whether a gas model can be converted to electric, or the reverse, so we do not suggest it. The pump, belt and mounting parts differ by power type as the list above shows. If you are weighing a change, call the parts team on (713) 931-0006 before buying anything.
