|---|---|
| Product Overview | OEM Titan 1/8" NPT bleed valve designed for Commander, Hydra, PowrTwin, PowrLiner, Admiral, and 0528925N spray systems. Provides controlled pressure relief for safe servicing and reliable priming . |
| Function | Serves as a critical safety and operational component. During priming, opening the bleed valve allows trapped air to escape from the system, enabling the pump to draw material properly. During shutdown or before servicing, opening the valve provides a controlled method for relieving high-pressure fluid trapped in the hose, gun, and pump assembly. Airless spray systems operate at pressures that can exceed 3000 psi, making a properly functioning bleed valve essential for safe tip changes, gun disassembly, and cleaning procedures . |
| Assembly Components | The 944-620 Bleed Valve Assembly consists of: Knob Assembly (944-024), Valve Body (944-020), O-ring (944-004), Valve Stem Stop (944-026), Tungsten Carbide Ball (761-715), Copper Gasket (945-003), and Valve Seat (944-904) . |
| Industrial Applications | Professional painting, line striping, architectural coatings, industrial finishing, and any application requiring safe pressure management and reliable priming . |
| Compatible Titan Machines | Commander Air-Powered Airless Sprayer ; Hydra M 2000/4000 ; Hydra Pro Super ; Admiral ; PowrTwin 3500, 4500, 5500, 6900, 8900, 12000 ; PowrLiner 4000, 5000, 6000, 6900, 8900 ; 0528925N 2000/4000 . |

| Related Parts Commonly Serviced Together | Bleed line assemblies, outlet tee assemblies, bleed line tubes and hoses, service kits (944-050). |
| Common Problems Solved | Visible fluid leakage from valve stem or seat, difficult operation (hard to turn or gritty feel), inability to properly prime the sprayer, pressure fluctuations during operation, valve not holding pressure, worn internal seals, visible damage to valve body or threads . |
| Use with Coating Systems | Supports paints, primers, varnishes, polyurethanes, stains, lacquers, and other coatings. |
| OEM & Brand Information | Genuine Titan OEM component designed for correct fitment in compatible Commander, Hydra, PowrTwin, PowrLiner, Admiral, and 0528925N systems . |
| Commercial Benefits | Restores proper pressure relief and priming function, enhances operator safety during maintenance, reduces downtime from priming issues, and ensures consistent system performance . |
The 944-620 Bleed Valve is a practical replacement for contractors who need reliable pressure management and priming in Commander and compatible spray systems. Over time, the bleed valve can develop seal wear, seat damage, or stem wear that compromises its ability to hold pressure or operate smoothly. A faulty bleed valve can prevent proper priming, cause pressure fluctuations, or create a safety risk during maintenance. The 944/945 Series Relief Valve has a tungsten carbide seat and should not require frequent replacement. The tungsten carbide ball, in normal service, will last a long time because it rotates and wears evenly. If there is leakage, replace the ball. If you experience difficulty priming the sprayer, notice paint leaking from the bleed valve, or find the valve difficult to turn, inspect the valve assembly. The internal tungsten carbide ball and seat are durable but may eventually require service using the 944-050 Bleed Valve Service Kit. If the valve body or stem is damaged, complete replacement is recommended .
