Compare Titan GM3600 AirCoat guns, flat and reversible tip systems, Brilliant™ flat tips, air-cap components, test accessories, gun-and-hose kits and GM5000 electrostatic equipment. Use the model, part number and spray technology to identify the correct product before ordering.
Start With the GM Platform — Not Just the “GM” Name
GM equipment in this category does not represent one interchangeable spray-gun system. The Titan GM3600 is an air-assisted airless / AirCoat finishing gun, while GM5000 equipment represented here is electrostatic. Identify the model and technology first, then select the gun, tip, air cap, hose kit or service accessory documented for that platform.
This distinction matters when replacing an older gun or accessory. A similar GM designation does not establish cross-compatibility between GM3600 and GM5000 components.
Titan GM3600 AirCoat / Air-Assisted Airless Spray Gun
The Titan GM3600 combines high-pressure fluid delivery with atomizing air. Titan documents the gun for both standard reversible spray tips and Brilliant™ flat tips. The platform uses an inline gun filter and stainless-steel fluid passages and carries a maximum material-pressure rating of 3,600 PSI (24.8 MPa).
Do not interpret 3,600 PSI as the normal pressure required for every coating. GM3600 operating instructions direct the operator to begin material pressure at approximately 400 PSI (3 MPa), increase it only until an acceptable spray pattern is obtained, and then adjust atomizing air for the required pattern, up to the documented 32 PSI (0.22 MPa) maximum atomizing-air setting.
Tip selection, coating viscosity, fluid pressure, atomizing air and filtration work together. The correct setup therefore depends on the GM3600 configuration and the tip being installed rather than on pressure rating alone.
Current & Legacy GM Part-Number Reference
Older Titan numbers remain important search references. Use the verified current number when a manufacturer replacement is identified.

GM3600 Configuration Comparison
The principal buying decision between the current GM3600 guns is the tip system installed on the gun.
| Part Number | Configuration | Tip System | Best Selection Scenario | Compatible Tip/Guard Type | Important Selection Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2404548 | GM3600 AirCoat gun with reversible tip guard | Standard reversible tip system | Choose when the required GM3600 setup uses Titan's reversible-tip configuration. | GM3600 reversible-tip guard / corresponding air-cap configuration | Do not select solely by tip orifice; confirm the gun is configured for the reversible system. |
| 2412194 | GM3600 AirCoat gun with flat tip guard | Brilliant™ flat-tip system | Choose when the application and existing GM3600 setup require the Brilliant™ flat-tip configuration. | GM3600 flat-tip guard / flat-tip air-cap configuration | Titan documents this gun configuration with a 9/20 Brilliant™ flat tip. |
GM3600 Tips, Air Caps, Filters, Hoses & Accessories
The GM3600 is documented for two tip approaches: standard reversible tips and Titan Brilliant™ flat tips. Each configuration uses the corresponding front-end hardware. Current Titan documentation identifies air-cap assembly 394961 for the reversible-tip configuration and 394965 for the flat-tip configuration, plus GM3600 AirCoat test air-cap kit 524229.
Titan also documents complete 50-foot gun-and-hose packages: 524219 for the reversible-tip kit and 524220 for the flat-tip kit. These kit numbers should not be confused with the gun-only SKUs 2404548 and 2412194.
For Brilliant™ flat tips, the manufacturer's chart links tip designation, orifice, spray angle and recommended filtration. The condensed guide below provides representative selection points without duplicating the complete manufacturer chart.
| Brilliant™ Tip | Orifice | Angle | Recommended Filter | Titan Part Number |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9/20 | 0.009 in. | 20° | 180 mesh | 526209 |
| 11/40 | 0.011 in. | 40° | 180 or 100 mesh | 526411 |
| 13/20 | 0.013 in. | 20° | 100 mesh | 526213 |
| 15/40 | 0.015 in. | 40° | 100 or 50 mesh | 526415 |

GM3600 Coating & Application Selection
Titan's GM3600 operating documentation identifies water-, oil- and solvent-based primers and topcoats, fine-finishing enamels, automotive coatings and release agents among materials that can be sprayed with the gun. Actual suitability still depends on the coating manufacturer's requirements, material viscosity, tip size, filtration and complete spray-system configuration.
For purchasing purposes, choose the gun and tip system from the required coating specification rather than assuming that every GM3600 tip is appropriate for every finish. Tip orifice and angle affect material delivery and pattern geometry, while the air cap supplies the assisting air used to complete atomization and, on the flat-tip configuration, pattern-air adjustment.
GM5000 Electrostatic Equipment Is Not a GM3600 Tip Configuration
Titan documentation lists GM5000 Electrostatic Gun & Powerpack 521133 / 0521133 as an electrostatic package with gun, hose, round tip and flat tip. It provides high-voltage control at the gun and adjustable atomization and pattern functions.
The broader Wagner GM5000 family confirms why GM5000 equipment must be treated separately from the GM3600. Wagner identifies GM 5000EA as an electrostatic Airspray manual gun and GM 5000EAC as an electrostatic AirCoat manual gun. The GM5000 family therefore includes distinct electrostatic atomization configurations rather than representing one conventional GM3600-style AirCoat gun.
Do not transfer GM3600 tip, air-cap, filter, pressure or accessory specifications to a GM5000 gun. Confirm the exact GM5000 variant, electrostatic system and manufacturer documentation before purchasing a replacement component.
```GM3600 vs. GM5000: Identify the Platform Before Ordering
| Buying rule | Match gun, tip system, air cap and filter | Match exact electrostatic model/system and its documented components |
GM Gun Selection & Buying Guidance
Before ordering, identify the exact gun model and both the current and any legacy part number stamped or documented for the equipment. For a GM3600, determine whether the gun uses the reversible-tip or Brilliant™ flat-tip configuration, then verify tip size, corresponding air-cap hardware and required filtration.
Also determine whether the repair requires a complete gun, an individual tip or air-cap component, a service/testing accessory, or a complete gun-and-hose kit. Do not substitute a complete-kit number for a gun-only number, and do not assume GM3600 components fit GM5000 electrostatic equipment.
If your equipment carries an older number such as 0524357 or 0524358, use the verified replacement relationship before ordering instead of searching only for obsolete inventory.
